Be a part of something bigger

For nearly 30 years, YWAM Muizenberg has been dedicated to welcoming, training and mobilizing passionate Christian volunteers from numerous nations to make an impact on their generation. We’ve increased from a small team in 1989 into a vibrant and growing missions centre with nearly 200 full-time staff volunteers. We serve the communities of Muizenberg and Cape Town while sending people throughout South Africa and the world.

YWAM Muizenberg has a vision to train and send out 250 students per quarter, 1000 per year and to see over 2000 sent into missions by 2025 of which 500 would be South Africans.

It has been an exciting journey of growth so far! Thank you to everyone who is a part of it, and who has been continuously sowing into this community.

To be able to realise this vision, we are trusting the Lord as we prepare to accommodate even more students flooding in from all over the world. We simply need more space! Space:

  • To grow our training and discipleship facilities
  • For additional classrooms for our Discipleship Training Schools and all our Second and Third-level Schools
  • For community-building events: worship, intercession and fellowship!
  • To serve as a dining room area to feed all those hungry staff and students as our current indoor dining space is overflowing
  • To add new offices!

Instruction, outreach and feeding  a few hundred. Our ministries work all over the city in a radius of 50 kilometers and this will be able to serve as a hub for our teams, schools and also our local community.

What does this building provide?

It would provide a hub for our staff and students which can:

  • Have a cafeteria to feed 300
  • Corporate meeting space for 400
  • Additional Classrooms
  • And possibility to expand with extra accommodation

It is currently owned by the local Jewish Community because of their relationship with YWAM over the past 30 years. They are willing to sell it to us rather than to a developer, who would pay much more, because of our ability to continue the heritage they have started.

Please consider partnering with us. For more information, contact our donation co-ordinator: Sarah Murphy at
