Overview

The purpose of the FCM is to equip students with tools to become active in ministry, applying what they have learned to extend the Kingdom of God. Our vision is to introduce them to a biblical counselling philosophy, imparting basic counselling skills, and walking with them through their own growth and healing process. In this process, we help our students discover their own vision for how they can take what they gain in our school and bring about “healing of the nations” (Rev 22:2).

What to expect from the FCM?

Foundation for counselling ministry is designed as a six month training program with two distinct phases!

Lecture phase

Phase one is a three – month classroom segment that utilizes lecture, discussions, workshops, small group, interactions and personal study. The close community of students and staff provides a environment where the application Biblical counselling skills can be worked out.

OUTREACH PHASE

Phase two is the field assignment. This provides a practical experience where the knowledge, skills and character qualities of the Biblical counselor learn in the lecture phase are put in to practice in a mission field setting students will find enriching cross-cultural opportunities and challenging experiences of working on a team at one of the the ministry locations around the world.

Prerequisite

Completion of a YWAM Discipleship Training School (DTS). It helps to have some ministry experience and spiritual/emotional maturity.

I am from Pune, India and I’m a certified Counseling Psychologist.

Born to parents who have been pioneers in India & committed to missions with YWAM, I had the privilege of being dedicated as a baby in to missions, by Loren & Darlene Cunningham. I am a YWAM Kid!

I did my DTS in 2013 in Wollongong, Australia.

I have always had a heart to encourage people, help them view themselves through God’s lenses, to empower them, to hear their stories and to Validate their true potential & identity as God intended.

My passion is To walk alongside people and build the bridge from brokenness to healing, wholeness & transformation in Christ Jesus!
