Reaching the Unreached DTS 2019
Upcoming Schools: Reaching the Unreached DTS in January!
We desire to be a part of the wonderful journey with people where they allow God’s Amazing Love, through building strong biblical foundations, transform their lives in ways that will overflow in transforming their surroundings and bringing God’s life and kingdom everywhere they go. We especially have a heart to see God’s transformational love continue to overflow in the unreached nations of the world.
To see more people engaging with the unreached people through prayer as well as going and ministering to those who have never heard the Good News of Christ.
We will facilitate times of prayer and outreach because God wants to work in and through us. We have also seen the more we engage locally in prayer and reaching out the greater our time on outreach will be.
The DTS will look like this:
The first three months of DTS will take place at YWAM Muizenberg on the Southern Peninsula of Cape Town, South Africa. During lectures we will spend time worshipping God together, seeking His heart and searching in His Word for His ways. We will engage in intercession for nations and evangelism in this nation. The DTS is geared to disciple each person by creating a live-learn environment where we rub shoulders with those of different cultures. As we discover others cultures we see more of how God made us and we can celebrate the diversity. Every part of the DTS is designed with help from the Holy Spirit in order to facilitate growth. You will be challenged to live lives that reflect Christ in all you do. While on outreach, we focus on those that don’t have existing relationships with God yet – reconciling them to their Heavenly Father.
Continuing in a posture of learning and with a vision of “the Beloved Community”, our final three months of DTS will consist of splitting into smaller focused outreach teams and heading to the nations. Carrying the two handed gospel which seeks to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of people, we will continue our communal discipleship journey while serving communities of conflict throughout the world. The hope for the outreach phase is for you to be students of the people, places, and stories which you will come into contact with while discovering and sharing the heart of Jesus and supporting various ministries and Kingdom movements along the way.
We will spend around 1-2 weeks after outreach back in Muizenberg in order to debrief.
We as a school want to discover God’s nature and character, His intention for individuals, peoples and creation. We will look at God’s redemption, sin and the cross, God’s family, God’s world and His Call. You will experience God in everything you do from corporate worship to cleaning the dishes. Deep friendships will form over this time. Partnerships will emerge as we hear and obey God.
Join us for the January DTS if you desire to share your life for six months and have a passion for discovering Christ within yourself, within a community of active discipleship, and within a world aching for hope. APPLY TODAY!
Meet The School Leaders!
Czernon loves spending time with the Lord and seeing God do wonderful things. He enjoys spending time with family and close friends. Some of his hobbies include cooking and building things such as working on cars and woodwork. He enjoys laughing and making others laugh.
He did his DTS in 2005, and after that he worked in maintenance before God lead him to work with DTS’s where they took teams into the townships of Cape Town. He got married in 2011 to Lucy Markus and spent time in Asia serving God over a two year period. Today he serves on the leadership of the Muizenberg campus. His heart is to see more young people engage in missions especially from youth groups in this nation.
Lucy did her DTS in 2009 and was called out of a promising career as an Auditor. She responded to the call and has not looked back. She enjoys working with DTS’s and seeing how God transforms people’s lives. She also serves on the leadership team overseeing DTS in Ywam Muizenberg.
