I am passionate about seeing people reach their God given purpose in life. With so much unemployment, I am passionate about seeing people employed. Having a job gives dignity and meaning and purpose. I hope that I can specifically help women find a dignifying job that they love and where they feel empowered to dream big.

I am Brooke, I am married to Raphael from the Netherlands. We met and got married in South Africa, and we have a daughter named Eden who is 1!

I moved here in 2015 after doing DTS in Sunshine Coast Australia in 2014.

I work with a ministry called Honest Nest Co. and we seek to employ empower and disciple women who are in need of a job. It is brand new and started in January this year when we hired our first employee. We make home and baby decor.

Rafael works with a ministry called Clever Kids in Masiphumelele. They run an after-school program for school aged kids to support them and help with their education.

I felt called to Africa when I was a teenager. After doing my DTS I knew I wanted to stay with YWAM so I started looking online for different bases in Africa, specifically searching for an anti-trafficking organization which was my passion at the time. I found S-Cape, YWAM’s safe house. I felt that was where I was supposed to be. I came with a 2 year commitment and stayed!
