Upcoming Schools: Classic DTS in September

24 September 2018– 1 March 2019 / Cape Town, South Africa

A Discipleship Training School is more of an experience than a school. It is a journey where you develop truth, faith, and character.

In lecture phase we will look at God’s heart for missions and take you back to the basics. We desire to equip people on how to live a missional focused life in the sphere of influence that they are called to. You will go into deeper levels of intimate relationship with God through studying His word, learning more about His character, and discovering the purposes He has for you. Your passion will be refined and directed to fulfill God’s intentions for your life.

The outreach phase gives you the opportunity to apply all the principles, knowledge, and wisdom you have gained from your experiences throughout lecture phase. These are ten weeks of life-changing opportunity! It includes sharing the love of God through friendship, evangelism, drama, music, teaching, and just about any other way you can think of. Outreach locations have not been finalized, but will include working among the Syrian refugees, as well as locations in Africa & Asia.

Come join us at YWAM Muizenberg, in the beautiful city of Cape Town. Only a few minutes walk from Muizenberg beach and a surfer’s paradise. We are also near the local township communities. We regularly engage with God’s heart for this incredible community and the surrounding communities.

Meet The School Leaders!

Rachel Froneman, Hans Oines, & James Lunn

James Lunn did his DTS in Perth, Australia in January of 1998. He has been with YWAM for over twenty years. Hans Oines did his DTS in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1998. He did his second DTS with his wife, Susan, in 2007. These two have worked closely together for the last nine years and have led many schools including SBS’s and DTS’s. Both have spent much of that time focusing on biblical training, teaching, and discipleship. Rachel Froneman did her DTS in Kona, Hawaii in April 2012. She has been with YWAM for six years and has been working with James and Hans for two years. Their desire is to disciple people to live and love more like Jesus.

The Vision of this school is
