We want to invite you to join us on a pioneering adventure of faith. The SMS will be
located in a neighbourhood of the city of Cape Town. This community has no church,
and we will be strategically located very close to the heart of the city itself, with many
ministry opportunities.

This means that you will:

• Be living in the heart of an unreached community.
• Receive input from experienced speakers.
• Learn ‘on the job’, not in an isolated classroom.
• Be able to apply what is taught into the immediate context.
• Be part of a pioneering discipleship community.
• Grow in faith as we overcome challenges together.

The aim of the SMS is to equip and prepare people to reach their God given calling
of ministry in a cross-cultural setting, especially among the unreached. We will
integrate the normal YWAM components of lecture phase and field assignment into
one, creating more space for thorough processing and application of the lectures/ class
material/ what is taught. We will be a community of light, reaching out to the larger
community around us and into central Cape Town.

• Community Development
• Pioneer Leadership
• Biblical Worldview
• Book of Acts and Church-planting principles
• Understanding Muslims – Looking at Muslim Worldview
• Holy Spirit and Spiritual Gifts
• Support Raising: Building a network of supporters

We want to see you prepared for your future ministry, whether that is church-planting,
mercy ministry or other cross-cultural ministry. Learning ‘on the job’, by doing
and not just hearing, is the best way to learn. Come and join us on an adventure of
